Winter Tires Mandatory on Most B.C. Highways Starting Next Week

It鈥檚 that time of year again 鈥� when winter tires become mandatory on most B.C. highways as the weather cools down.
Wednesday, Oct. 1, is the first day drivers will need to make sure their tires have the mud and snow symbol on a number of major routes.
鈥淭hese signs are enforced by the police, ministry or other enforcement officials,鈥� said the Government of B.C. online. 鈥淢otorists who are not compliant may be turned away and fined.鈥� …
